Q. What is Boca Raton Catholic Young Professionals? Answer: One of Florida’s largest Catholic young adult groups around. The group was developed about 10 years ago by young Catholic parishioners from St. Joan of Arc, St. Vincent’s, Ascension, Our Lady of Lourdes, and St. Jude’s, just like you and me, who desired fellowship with other Catholic parishioners.
Answer: The single men and women of today are leading different lives than those of the older generations. They are more likely to hold college degrees and are getting married later in life. The Church offers many opportunities for families, children, youth, college students, and seniors to meet, serve, and grow. However, few such opportunities exist for young adults ages 21-39. The Boca Raton Young Catholic Professionals was formed to serve their needs.
Answer: We have approximately 320 members living in Boca Raton, and surrounding cities. Our dances typically draw 70 to 100. However, many of our events offer a smaller, more intimate setting for young Catholics to meet each other, from 9 for a Rosary prayer to 20 for an evening social at a local restaurant.
Answer: Dances at church halls, Sunday Mass get-togethers usually with lunch afterwards, volleyball, picnics, rosary circles, retreats, and lots more.
